I just stumbled upon this site a few days ago and was smiling to myself — thank you, whoever you are who put up the blog and page on YouTube with a whole load of sermon excerpts; it will now be easier to use the resources to warn of the dangers of Kong Hee’s Word of Faith theology and prosperity message!

Technology is wonderful, heh!

Here’s just a couple of samples of Kong Hee’s theology — the first is his vision of a stadium in the marketplace, and the second a very succinct summation of the prosperity message taught at City Harvest Church.

William Tyndale

William Tyndale

Somehow I was reminded of William Tyndale today reading this post by a good sister Berean Wife, and how God had him do His will to translate the Bible and put it in our hands that we who today enjoy freedom to practice our faith might have full access to God’s Word. We are blessed that we live in such free environments, yet many take it for granted — their Bibles only sit pretty on the bookshelf while gathering dust as the minds of their owners grow dull from a lack of true meat (Hosea 4:6).

In fact, there’s no point mentioning Sola Scriptura when many who fall for false teachings and other heresies don’t even read the Bibles for themselves.

“Coincidentally”, I found the following video series on Tyndale’s life over at YouTube so I thought I’d share it. Consisting of 8 parts, the series is taken from the 1986 movie God’s Outlaw.

Feminization of Man's WearDestroying the Myth About Global Warming
I’ve always maintained that the “Global Warming” phenomenon is just a farce. Sure, the days seem to be hotter nowadays, but is there such a unprecedented level of danger to the survival of the earth that we need to make so many sacrifices, with even some scientists and politicians calling for the preservation of the environment at the expense of human lives?!

Of course, we are to be good stewards of the resources given to us of God, but when you think about the agenda behind this movement, you begin to see who really benefits. Do you benefit when you decline a plastic bag for your groceries? No, I’d say that the supermarket saves on providing you with some convenient manner with which to carry your purchases. And what about all these calls to buy environmentally-safe products at higher costs? Who gains?

I Kissed A Girl And Liked It
Oh, wonderful, I am so thrilled, NOT!

A recently-released song titled “I Kissed A Girl And Liked It” was apparently done by Kate Perry who claims to be Christian and was herself formerly known as Katy Hudson in the gospel music industry.

I’m not displaying the video here, but you can view it on YouTube if you’re interested.

The Feminization Continues
The color pink, frills, ribbons, lace, and other materials more commonly found on ladies’ wear like crepe de chine, organza, shantung and silk voile, are soon going to be worn by men if these fashion designers have their way (pictured above).

I’m thinking they might go even go well with these new under-things called “manties“.

Genesis, Babel And The Chinese Language
Since a brother, Nelson, mentioned the discovery that the Chinese language might actually reflect what was recorded in the book of Genesis, I have been quite interested in this subject since it touches part of my heritage and culture.

Chinese words are pictograms, i.e. each word is made up of characters separately representing the idea or object. Some scholars have recently put forward the theory that some Chinese words actually concur with events recorded in the Bible, in particular the flood, the ark and even the fall.

Answers in Genesis has a three-part series (so far) on this proposition. The entire video is listed as being 55 minutes long, with each part lasting 11 minutes, so I think there’ll be two more parts coming.

You might be pleased to learn that I have enabled the embedding of YouTube videos into comments, i.e. instead of just simply putting a text link to a YouTube video, you can now insert the video into your comment!

To do so, simply add the letter “v” to the “http” part of the video URL.

For example, if the YouTube video has the following URL:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUTCWLoD4-4

Simply add the “v” to “http” to embed it into your comment, like so:

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUTCWLoD4-4

You can see a live demo of the plug-in at this comment.

For those who would like to enable the same feature on their self-hosted WordPress blog, you’ll need the Smart YouTube plug-in.

I’ve always liked sermon jams since hearing my first on Way of the Master Radio, and was introduced to great mixers like the brethren at 10:31 Sermon Jams and Relevant Revolution.

After watching a tutorial on YouTube on how one can create their own sermon jams, I decided to try my hand at mixing one up, and here’s the result. It’s my first try so please be gentle. :D

If you like it, please feel free to download the sermon jam (right-click the link and select “Save As”).

Enjoy!

From FinalTrumpet at YouTube:

Todd Bentley has been a leader in the “Lakeland Revival” currently being heralded as a great move of God. Analysis of Bentley and what he preaches show that he is not what he claims.

The analysis this video provides is in relation to his explanation of a supernatural encounter he had. Critical analysis of the encounter shows that he not only did not use biblical instruction to “test the spirits” but that the encounter was not of God. His “encounter” matches UFO abduction testimonials and seems to be more of a “close encounter” than one with God. And those have proven to be satanic/demonic at their core.

So the big question is can a man who has occultic/demonic encounters and claiming they are of God be teaching Truth? I think these videos will show that his message is not of God as is this “revival” of false signs and wonders.

This is part 1 of a series of five videos so far:

You can catch parts 2, 3, 4 and 5 at FinalTrumpet’s page on YouTube, which suggest, along with video evidence, how Todd Bentley is actually practicing Kundalini.

I had intended to post my take on some other issue initially, but decided to pass on this video instead after watching it in the hopes that it shall also encourage and inspire you as it did me.

Doug Pagitt1 just cracks me up!

Yet it’s sad at the same time that this is what leaders of the Emergent Church movement are telling their congregations and non-believers who might be genuinely interested in Christianity.

In this phone interview that was broadcast on Way of the Master Radio, listen to Doug Pagitt totally deny the existence of hell, or even judgment for those that deny the Lord Jesus Christ.

Enjoyed part 1? Listen to part 2 of the interview at YouTube.

I’m aghast and flabbergasted that there are people who buy into this absolute filth and nonsense!

If you have never come across the terms “Emergent Church” or “Emerging Church” movement, here’s a great feature done by PBS that explains what the movement is all about.

Indeed, we have already been well warned of such heresies and apostasies in the Bible. Paul wrote twice in 2 Timothy about this:

For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

2 Timothy 3:2-5

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

2 Timothy 4:3-4

Shalom Aleichem.

A Greater Song

It has been years since I have bought a single Gospel-oriented CD, but thanks to Shalene who has now earned the honor of being a great DJ (in my opinion at least), I added a new Gospel CD to my collection today.

Paul Baloche’s “A Greater Song”.

What drew me to Paul Baloche was the fact that I had the chance to sing one of his compositions “Your Name” at the church I visited on Shabbat a fortnight ago, and the song has become one of my favorites.

And when Shalene linked the YouTube version of it, I finally found out that Paul Baloche was the composer behind this wonderful song.
