Sharing a few interesting bits of news from around the world:

  • Masab, son of West Bank Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousef, is now a Christian and calls himself Joseph. (Haaretz)
  • British Newspaper Readers Vote To Keep Todd Bentley out of UK. At least it’s not all bad in the UK! (End Times Prophetic)
  • Ken Silva was on Crosstalk Radio filling listeners in on what has been happening to him and his site since the threat of a lawsuit from Richard Abanes. (Crosstalk Radio)
  • My good brother, Yong Chun, writing on City Harvest Church, has a great sermon-by-sermon MP3 comparison of how the same parable — The Sower — has been badly mangled and interpreted by three pastors of the church. (All of Grace)
  • New Christian radio stations worth a listen-to: Pirate Christian Radio and Fighting for the Faith.
  • I’ve put up a new poll — have fun!
  • And, finally, some humor for the weekend: Introducing the Evolution Mix…

Sure, pastors are men too and they might tell lies on occasion, but this is a different kind of lie — one spoken from the pulpit and even blaspheming the Holy Spirit!

What worries me more is that the audience seems to love lapping it all up, laughing at his “jokes” and agreeing with his blatant lies. Some even look impressed by his “wit”!

My hat’s off, mate.

Todd BentleyI guess false prophets and teachers don’t really go away (pity!) — they just reappear somewhere else and wreck more havoc.

Right after the exposé on him was aired on Nightline on ABC, Todd Bentley announced that he would be taking time “to refresh and to rest”.

Good news! Or as I said to a brother, best piece of news to come out of Lakeland, Florida so far!

Well, surprise, surprise! Todd Bentley isn’t really gone, but it seems that moving out of Lakeland might just turn out to be a blessing in disguise for him (but a big groan of pain for us!). If you take a look at his itinerary for the rest of the year at his ministry web site (scroll down to the bottom of the page), you’ll discover that not only is Mr. Bentley not really resting, but that he will be bringing his “anointing” to several U.S. States and even to Uganda and the United Kingdom!

So, it does look like the departure from Lakeland has become an impetus for Todd Bentley to bring his ministry on a world tour and reach others who would otherwise not have a chance of receiving the “anointing” while he was entrenched in Florida.

Which means that, unfortunately, our cheers were terribly short-lived, and that, yes, we’ll soon hear more of his “BAM!” from all corners of the world.

And, so, just like the Great White in the movie Jaws, Bentley’s back to haunt and “anoint” just when you thought that the waters were safe again…

I think the program was rather well done.

To ABC’s credit, the report remained neutral without any bias towards those for or against the “revival”, instead allowing the audience to arrive at their own conclusions.

While most Americans were out celebrating with friends and family over a good barbecue and enjoying the fireworks during the recent Independence Day holidays, Todd Bentley was having a whale of a time dispensing his sheek-a-boomba and creating his own ‘fire!’-works at the Lakeland Baptism Extravaganza.

WWE

JULY 2008 — Vince McMahon, chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), announced today that revivalist Todd Bentley has signed on to compete on Friday Night SmackDown! as a featured wrestler in his organization. Said McMahon, “After watching Todd knee-slam a Stage 4 colon cancer patient in the stomach during the Lakeland Healing Outpouring, I knew he had what it takes to be the next Hulk Hogan.”

God help us!

According to this report at Charisma Magazine, “Christian” leaders like Che Ahn, Bill Johnson, John Arnott, and Rick Joyner recently laid hands on Todd Bentley to commission him as an evangelist in a special ceremony beamed “live” to television sets in millions of homes by God TV.

In a read statement, Peter Wagner, leader of the International Coalition of Apostles, espoused the need for “apostolic alignment”.

Now, I don’t know what in the world “apostolic alignment” is, so don’t ask me.

I agree with my brethren at DefCon that we have spent enough time highlighting and warning about the false prophet Todd Bentley. To continue doing so would just give this undeserving man undue attention; moreover, I think that I have given out enough warnings that those who are discerning enough would have seen the light by now.

As for those who persist in following this prophet of Baal, I’ll still pray for their eyes to be opened, and that they love not the darkness anymore, but turn to the true light — Christ Jesus.

And, so, with that said, here’s my last warning on this false prophet with a video that I think most apt for the occasion.

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

Todd Friel, Way of the Master RadioTodd Friel interviews Mark Haville, a gentleman who used to be very involved in such “outpourings” and “revivals” until he started reading his Bible and discovered that what he himself was doing was not Biblical, and that the power drawn upon was definitely not of God.

The interview, about 15 minutes long, is taken off a segment on Hour 2 of The Way of the Master Radio, first broadcast June 10, 2008.

While doing some research on Che Ahn, the pastor who recently spoke at City Harvest Church as a guest pastor and administered “healing”, I was troubled to find out that Che Ahn is very closely associated with Bentley, and has even pronounced a “prophecy”1 on the latter.

The more troubling issue is this: why would City Harvest Church, having knowledge of this close relationship between Che Ahn and Bentley (who is obviously a liar, charlatan and false prophet) invite the former to guest-speak to their congregation?

From Sola Dei Gloria:

I found this interesting for two reasons. Though it covers issues already discussed in other posts -– the angels etc, it also includes a small testimony from someone who had a frightening experience after connecting with this impartation. Also, the creator of this clip brought out something related to gold dust I hadn’t considered:

And as soon as he came near the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, Moses’ anger burned hot, and he threw the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain. He took the calf that they had made and burned it with fire and ground it to powder and scattered it on the water and made the people of Israel drink it.

Exodus 32:19-20

Please bear in mind as you read this that I am warning you in good faith and Christian love.

I am not too sure how to put it, but just last night (Saturday), I had a dream where I had a prompting that somehow one of the two guest pastors speaking at City Harvest Church this weekend would come out in support of Todd Bentley, thereby favorably introducing Bentley to an unsuspecting congregation in Singapore.

(The other guest pastor was Robb Thompson, who, in my opinion, executed a classic bait-and-switch at the end of his sermon, urging the many youths in the congregation to tithe beyond what they have normally given. In other words, he’s another prosperity preacher selling the “sow and reap” principle for success in life).

Moreover, this morning I just had an urge to catch the “live” sermon on the church’s web site.

Not only did I discover that this pastor Che Ahn helms Harvest Rock Church — a church that supports the Florida Outpouring, but he himself knows Todd personally and was enthusiastically promoting Todd’s ministry during the service in question.

From FinalTrumpet at YouTube:

Todd Bentley has been a leader in the “Lakeland Revival” currently being heralded as a great move of God. Analysis of Bentley and what he preaches show that he is not what he claims.

The analysis this video provides is in relation to his explanation of a supernatural encounter he had. Critical analysis of the encounter shows that he not only did not use biblical instruction to “test the spirits” but that the encounter was not of God. His “encounter” matches UFO abduction testimonials and seems to be more of a “close encounter” than one with God. And those have proven to be satanic/demonic at their core.

So the big question is can a man who has occultic/demonic encounters and claiming they are of God be teaching Truth? I think these videos will show that his message is not of God as is this “revival” of false signs and wonders.

This is part 1 of a series of five videos so far:

You can catch parts 2, 3, 4 and 5 at FinalTrumpet’s page on YouTube, which suggest, along with video evidence, how Todd Bentley is actually practicing Kundalini.

Nazira Rafei -- Another Female Sex PredatorWhat is it with female teachers nowadays? — a female teacher in Australia, Nazira Rafei, has been charged in court for allegedly telling her 15-year-old male student to treat her like a “sex slave”.

Is it me or has there been an escalation in the number of such cases involving female sexual predators?

Handing out Gospel tracts in a Muslim area is a “hate crime” — according to WorldNetDaily, two American pastors were told that it was a “hate crime” to hand out Gospel leaflets in a predominantly Muslim area in Birmingham, England.

I wonder if the same rule applies if a Muslim evangelist hands out Islamic tracts in a predominantly Christian area.

Folks running blogs like mine — Christians who point out false teachings, false teachers and their ilk have a bad time mostly. Trust me when I tell you how many times I was that close to shutting down the blog because of all the brickbats, name-calling and other virtual rotten eggs thrown my way both in comments and via email.

Yet, each time I am encouraged and reminded that I do this not for myself, but for my Lord Christ Jesus’ glory and His alone.

This is one such testimony, reproduced from my good brother Phil Naessen’s blog that has not only encouraged me, but reading it made me jump up with joy!

This was brought to my attention over at one of the new blogs I’ve been following lately — End Times Prophetic, Prophecy, Visions, Dreams, Revelation, Christian Blog.

I feel sorry for Pastor Larry Reed’s friend, but at least we know that the good pastor is now with the Lord, and will no longer feel the pain of the bone cancer that has so tormented him.

Reproduced from this forum:

Blessings in Christ Jesus,

This is my first post to this forum, and I’ve been following the Lakeland revival ever since I got word from Andrew through his email about it. I live in Washington State, and I have been dealing with a lot of people asking me about this “revival” and what my thoughts have been. I have advised people to constantly “test the spirits” and the usual, feeling that this is mostly emotionalism and hype and agreeing with most in these forums, that what has been going on here is not of God.

Some what?

This isn’t of God, people! In fact, it reminds me of those temple mediums in the kampung (village) I observed as a child. Even as I watch this, my wife listened in and remarked that he (Todd) is just freaking her out.

As my good brother The Pilgrim says, this is demonic possession and we are witnessing demonic manifestations here.

WARNING: Please make sure that you are well covered by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ before you watch the video!

Please pray for those who are blindly mesmerized by this charlatan.

World Famine — The Third Seal Opened?

An unprecedented worldwide famine is silently sweeping across the globe, leading many Christians to wonder if the third seal of Revelation 6:5-6 has indeed been opened, and the horseman on the black horse is already galloping across the globe.

When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a black horse! And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine!”
