Prophecy Watch

You are currently browsing the archive for the Prophecy Watch category.

“Natural” disasters, inflation, economic uncertainty, wars, rumors of war, famines, droughts, et al. — a look at the year so far in prophetic terms.

Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.

Luke 21:28

HT: Watcher’s Lamp.

There are two things that might come to your mind when reading the headline that I just posted, namely

  1. I am now advocating Seventh-Day Adventist doctrines
  2. I am out of my mind because, well, the mark of the Beast is traditionally believed to be some micro-chip that will be implanted into the foreheads/hands in the end-times

A short answer for your doubt on point (1) is an emphatic “no”, while my answer for point (2) is that we don’t know for sure, and the theory about the microchip might just be what it is — a theory.

Whatever it is, we should let the Word of God speak loudly to us on the issue, and this is where I would recommend that you should watch this video (which is about 1.5 hours long) explain how we have strayed from observing the true Sabbath that has been given to all — Jews and Gentiles alike — by God since Creation, instead choosing to follow the tradition of men given to the world by, horror of horrors, the Whore of Babylon!

I found these two great video presentations of the prophecies contained in Ezekiel 38 and Ezekiel 39, and am sharing them here with you, for surely these things that have been prophecised shall soon come to pass if one has an eye on what’s happening in the Middle East, Russia and Iran.

Ezekiel 38

Ezekiel 39

Watch, I pray thee, and be prepared for the return of our Lord very soon.

World Famine — The Third Seal Opened?

An unprecedented worldwide famine is silently sweeping across the globe, leading many Christians to wonder if the third seal of Revelation 6:5-6 has indeed been opened, and the horseman on the black horse is already galloping across the globe.

When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a black horse! And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine!”

Last Judgment

Judgment Day

There’s a series of posts at a local portal by “star bloggers” who had to write on what they’d do if they knew that the next day would be the “end of days”. Interesting read from what I’ve seen so far, but it worries me that none mentioned any concern for their eternal fates, save for one. The rest wrote on making sure that they have had enough sex, a last taste of their favorite food, etc.

If you have been reading this blog for some time now (thank you!), you’d know that I look at the world through Christian lenses, so it’s worrying that many do not know that the return of our Lord Jesus Christ is indeed near, and therefore life indeed does go on as in the “days of Noah”.

I have a bad case of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome which makes it rather painful to type more, so I’ll share this little article by Hal Lindsey at WorldNetDaily with you (copying and pasting don’t hurt as much), titled “Last-days ‘birth pains’ have begun”.

Lunar Eclipse Feb. 20, 2008

What's the significance of the Blood Moons in 2015?

Previously, I had highlighted in a post that Mark Biltz, pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Washington, was suggesting that a rare string of lunar and solar eclipses said to fall on God’s annual holy days in 2015 could herald the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jack Kelley over at Grace Thru Faith has written a response to the videos. Now, my disagreement with his take on the Rapture aside, I think he makes some valid points on the speculation that the above-mentioned phenomenon possibly points to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ in 2015.

This blog stands with Israel, and firmly believes that

  1. The restoration of the State of Israel on 14 May, 1948 is the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy (Isaiah 66:8, Ezekiel 38:8).
  2. Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, and the recapture of the city in 1967 is fulfillment of Biblical prophecy.
  3. Jerusalem will be a burdensome stone for all nations in these days is fulfillment of Biblical prophecy
    (Zechariah 12:2-3).
  4. Israel is God’s timepiece in the end of days (Matthew 24:32).
  5. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob shall keep His promise to His people Israel and intervene to save them when all seems to be lost (Luke 13:35).

Shalom Yerushalayim!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
May they be secure who love you!

Psalm 122:6

The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes (Joel 2:31)

Lunar Eclipse Feb. 20, 2008

The Blood Red Moon

Mark Biltz, pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Washington, suggests that a rare string of lunar and solar eclipses said to fall on God’s annual holy days in 2015 could herald the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Counting back seven years (the final week in Daniel’s prophecy), are we going to see the beginning of the Tribulation late 2008?

First Pesach (Passover) sacrifice since 70 A.D. carried out in Israel

The robes are ready, the utensils recreated, and the descendents of Aaron, ordained of God to serve Him in His temple, identified through DNA. Now all that’s needed is the actual temple to be built which the Anti-Christ shall desecrate in the middle of the final week.

Gulf States May End Dollar Pegs, Kuwait Minister Says

Gulf states are considering dropping their pegs to the dollar after the U.S. currency’s decline stoked inflation across the region, Kuwaiti Finance Minister Mustafa al- Shimali said. It’s interesting to see how this develops as I believe that the 10 kings might be 10 economic regions each overseen by a “king” that is in effect a council.

VeriChip Markets Its Implantable RFID Tags and Services Direct to Consumers

The company is trying to market its direct-to-consumer initiative called Health Link to consumers in South Florida. For $149, a consumer can have a passive 134 kHz RFID chip implanted in his or her arm, with the transponder’s unique 16-digit ID number linked to a database containing that individual’s medical records and, if they so choose, a living will.

The folks at World’s Last Chance have published a new video that purportedly explains what God’s Seal on His faithful is and what the Mark of the Beast actually refers to.

I won’t give too much away since it’s best if you watched the video for yourself and arrive at your own conclusions. What I’d say at this point is that I don’t quite agree with what they defined as the Mark of the Beast.
