I am very glad that brother Ray has taken the time to respond publicly to the article by Ingrid Schlueter, which you can read here.
As I write this, I remember that another good brother, Paul Washer, also almost does the same thing (or at least he mentioned that he does so in one of his sermons) — if he’s invited to speak, he’ll go, to present the Gospel as it should be.
Certainly, most of us who give our thoughts on this will have in some way much respect for Ray and his ministry, in addition to concern for his reputation which has been impeccable all this while. And, God forbid, we will never want to see Ray join the pack of wolves who are even now ravaging the unsuspecting in the flock.
I’m still mulling over my stand on this issue, having now both sides of the story (so to speak) since the public statement from brother Ray. I can see where he’s coming from, and I can also understand why Ingrid wrote what she wrote. In my opinion, it is, from all angles, an interesting issue up for discussion.
I’ll post further thoughts on this soon as I mull over it some more.

I’m with Ray on this one. If you get the chance to share the true Gospel, take it.
If you look at Acts 17:17-23, Paul did not really worry about where he preached the gospel. Sure looked like an Epicurean / Stoic conference to me where he preached about Jesus. And though some ended up mocking him (as probably happens when Ray preaches at these conferences), some also ended up believing.
Then of course Jesus Himself hung out with tax collectors, sinners and prostitutes, as well as with Pharisees.
It’s not WHERE you preach, it’s WHAT you preach.
BTW I don’t think the injunction against being unequally yoked really applies here.
Then of course there’s 1 Cor 9:19-22…

I agree, but is Ray presenting the Gospel to them at these Word-faith gatherings, or just speaking Christianese?
Ray Comfort has done nothing wrong in this case as far as am concerned. what good would it be that he refuses to Go and praech the gospel to the lost at these gatherings? I say he should keep going so that the lost would hear a different kind of message uinlike what they are used to hearing from their pastors and preachers.
*But there are places a Christian filled with the Holy should not even think of go to but , in this case I know he did the right thing
Godbless you Brother
I don’t fault Ray for preaching there. Let him preach where he is lead.
BUT….I personally would not go to a gathering where the Holy Spirit was absent because if they are not being lead by the Holy Spirit, then they are being lead by their master, Satan. It’s no different than attending a rock concert or a psychic fair. I’m not going to step into Satan’s playground where he rules, and has control over the crowd (speaking of strange manifestations) and give Satan an opportunity to hurt me either directly or using his servants. (others attending) But that’s just me.
