I am so glad that I found Paul Washers sermons. His messages have change the way I look at my life and how I view the sins in my life. “Examine Yourself†has been the most impactful to me thus far. As you can tell from my blog, I just can’t get enough of it. Every sermon that I hear convicts me in another area in my life. I praise God for his honesty and willingness to share the truth. As hard as it is to hear the truth sometimes, we still need to hear it. Most importantly we need to apply it to our lives so that we live according to His will, not ours.
God bless brother!
Thanks for this one, am already downloading it now, don’t know how to place it on blogger that’s if is even possible though I haven’t checked for my self yet, the thing is that pastors like Paul Washer are not famous at all and they are the ones preaching the word of God the way it should be preached like he said “we are always being taught half a truth” well that would a topic for another day like my husband would say before you can be a crocodile outside of your country first become a lizard in your own place. that is why you have so many famous pastors and all they teach is something else ie half a truth!!!.
I was so touched by the comment about your mum you said she is in a hospice I Pray that whatever it is Our God will surprise your family in Jesus Mighty Name Amen
Remember you are my brother and not just another blogging friend ok.
Godbless
Thank you for another sermon jam. Very good! I also love Paul Washer!
Bobby, your comment made me smile
Carol,
I hope that’s a good thing.
Yes it’s a good thing. There is so much I learned about you just from that paragraph above. I see that you have a bowed heart to Him, you seek the truth, you are teachable, you are sensitive to your sins, you receive His correction with thanks, you put your faith into action, and all of this in a nutshell means that you love the Lord. So my saying you made me smile is really an understatement - I felt a stirring inside when I read it. (but I didn’t want to get all mushy so I said as little as possible
So I thought I should clarify this so you didn’t think the smile was a bad thing.
Blessings to you brother,
carol
Thanks for the kind words Carol. I didn’t mean for you to go there, I just didn’t know how it was that I made you smile.
Blessings to you as well,
Bobby
@carol - Getting all mushy on my hubby, are you Carol? I’m just teasing, I know you didn’t mean it in that way…He makes me smile too… But for this reason and so many more… (Just in case you don’t know, I truly AM teasing and I truly AM NOT upset or jealous or anything else. I just wanted to give you a hard time..) Love you sister…
Isaiah, I too am really getting into Paul Washer… that sermon “Examine Yourself” made me cry….talk about conviction!!! You know we all go around justifying our sins, to some extent, and we think we’re all just hunky-dorie, but that just isn’t so… That’s not to say that we aren’t (many of us, anyway) “good people” but simply being a “good person” isn’t good enough…. I’ve missed you guys… I’ll have to try to visit again soon.
Blessings to both of you, and all our other Siblings in Christ, reading this as well.
@Bobby -
AMEN, Bobby! I can indeed tell from you blog that you can’t get enough of brother Paul’s teachings!
In case you didn’t already know, Lane Chaplin (who is the one who usually posts Paul Washer’s sermons on YouTube) can now upload full-length videos and he has already uploaded quite a few. His channel is here.
I see brother Paul as the Jonathan Edwards/Charles Spurgeon of our time, one whom God has sent to this Laodicean church to awaken us to be hot and no more lukewarm!
Oh, by the way, if you guys have time in October, go to the Deeper Conference in Atlanta if you are able to — brother Paul will be speaking at the conference! How I wish I was in the U.S. and could make it…
Thank you for visiting, Bobby!
@Channelofhealing -
Hmm… sis, I am not sure how to include those on Blogspot either. Maybe I can try and let you know.
Thank you very very much for the prayers, sister! I really appreciate them! I am very very honored to be considered a brother of yours. I’m truly proud to have a sister like you, and I thank God for you!
@carol, @Shalene M Kearney -
You ladies crack me up.
I think it wise for me to stay out of this… ha ha!
@Shalene M Kearney -
I’m really happy that both you and Bobby are listening to brother Paul and how he has impacted both your walks with God. The same is true for me and my wife — brother Paul is a breath of fresh air! We also like John MacArthur for how he rightly divides the Word of God and John Piper for encouraging our passion for doing the Lord’s Will.
I missed you and Bobby too, and it brightened my day to see that you have visited!
God bless you, Bobby and everyone at home!
OK guys break it up. This ain’t the church of St Paul, and all you groupies (of whom I am chief) should know that Paul Himself (oops did I accidentally capitalize the “H”?) would not approve of this. (1 Cor 3:21-23). I’m only half joking because I have a real problem with this personally and have to keep reminding myself that it is God who is the power behind all this.
Seriously though, I’m amazed that he’s been around for so long (since at least 2002) and I have only just discovered him. Isn’t it amazing that God has ordained the development of the Internet and blogs and youtube and all that and done everything in His own good time so that we can now see and hear His word being preached to all nations and draw in the elect?
I concur with Carol in that I feel a strange love and affinity for the brothers and sisters here, knowing we all hear the voice of the same Shepherd. Not that it should be a strange thing (1 John 5:1).
Someone commented in the SermonAudio website that he was praying that God would raise more preachers like Brother Paul. I am in agreement with that prayer.
@ahbeng -
Uh, no, AhBeng, you’ll have to fight me for that “chief” post! :))
On a serious note, I concur with you that we need be careful that we don’t elevate our teachers to the point where their words have precedence over the Word of God. No matter how respected a teacher is or how much we like their sermons, all things must be measured against the God’s teachings in the Bible.
We do need more preachers like brother Paul! I’ve yet to find another like him so far, and that’s why I tend to read more writings of the Puritans and folks like Charles Spurgeon.
Hey, what’s the original sermon name?
Thanks
Nick, the sermon is titled “The Holiness of God”, and you can listen to it at the following address:
