Since my wife’s testimony was posted, I’ve met a few well-meaning people who have encouraged me to take a good, hard look again at how my opposition to the Mother was in error.
And I must say that, after much consideration and study, I agree with them.
Hence, it is our wish to now state that we’ll be returning to the faith of the Apostles and the great Church fathers, and follow the Roman pontiff in his guidance for our salvation.
For those who are still erroneously believing that the Roman Catholic is not the true Church, I’d strongly encourage you to do some serious studying for yourselves the history of the Church and our faith — not only from the Bible but from traditions of men passed down through generations that must be taken into consideration as they are on par with Scripture.
There is just so much Biblical proof that there’s Apostolic succession and that Peter is the pebble upon which the Church will be built, but I shan’t point them out here because they will just be debated on. Instead, I shall draw upon the wisdom of men, traditions and even this YouTube video to prove my point.
I find so much solace in the Roman system — the Protestant movement does nothing to assuage our guilt or feelings of sinfulness. In the Roman system, we get face-to-face contact with a confessor (the priest), and even guidance from a living, walking Vicar of Christ!
Not to mention that I feel really, really close to God during High Mass, the celebration of the Eucharist, communion with saints past and present, and there’s so much more joy that I cannot possibly describe in human terms.
Protestantism has it all wrong — Mary our mother is even mentioned in the book of Revelation ([esvbible reference="Revelation 12" header="off" format="link"]Revelation 12[/esvbible]), and the oft-quoted accusation that Rome is the city on seven hills is just plain bad geography, really.
I hope that, knowing this, you will still extend the same love and friendship that you have shown me over the past months. Please also be informed that because of our new allegiance, the blog will undergo a few changes, the first of which is the change in the header image.
Lastly, let me wish you a very happy April Fool’s Day.

Hello Vincent, thanks for dropping by.
Ha ha, you’re as wicked as I am. Thank you for the compliment — that took me 10 minutes or so in Photoshop. -
Daniel, I think if you managed to sneak on a priest’s garb, you’d look quite the part, brother. And I mean that as a compliment (yes, I know, in a weird sense), ha ha!

You’re ought to be glad you’re in Singapore because if I were there, I’d fold you up in your own couch!!! So there! :ant:

Ouch, I didn’t mean this to have that effect on anyone, Carol.

I’m very sorry!OK, I’ll fly myself there one year (if and when it’s affordable, no promises) and you can do just that. I’ll bring my own couch too (just so I’m comfortable).

Believe it or not but I might already have something up my sleeve for the next April Fool’s day. 8-}
