The sexual morality ship is fast sinking and taking millions of people with it. If you think the sinking of the Titanic was a disaster, this ship is sinking faster and taking more people with it than the former. And worse, it is also sending many millions to the bottomless pit called “hell”!

Parents in California Break The Law if They Homeschool

In a recent court decision that is, thankfully, still under appeal, the State of California (CA) has ruled that parents can be incarcerated or have their children taken away if they homeschool the latter!

In other words, and this is how I read it as well, it means that parents are not able to educate and teach their children at home. However, if parents insist on homeschooling their children, they will be required to engage someone who has the credentials, or have a parent credentialed to do so.

It gets worse!

The most disturbing aspect is that some time in the 1980’s and 1990’s, a judge ruled that a parent’s right to educate their children was nullified as soon as the children have passed through the gates of school.

Put these two together and it just means that parents have lost all their rights with regards to educating their offspring — you can’t homeschool nor can you have any say in the school’s curriculum.

The new decision in California is significant because traditionally, once a law is passed there, it is usually adopted by the remaining 49 states. There is a petition going on, and more information on this can be obtained at ParentalRights.org.

SB 777

What’s the big deal if one just lets the schools in CA do their work in educating my child, you ask?

Plenty, my friend. First off, are you aware of SB 777?

No?

Then read this and be shocked (emphasis mine):

SB 777 requires textbooks, instructional materials, and school-sponsored activities to positively portray cross-dressing, sex-change operations, homosexual “marriages,” and all aspects of homosexuality and bisexuality, including so-called “gay history.” Silence on these sexual lifestyles will not be allowed.

And, mind you, these ‘values’ will be taught to children even in kindergartens! Any Christian want to tell me about the positives that accepting the gay lifestyle, e.g. decriminalizing Section 377A in Singapore, will bring?

Once a foothold is gained, these powerful homosexual lobbies have been known to push their agendas aggressively, usually through a ’soft’ approach that has them playing the role of the persecuted under-dogs in society.

Not the operating system but a “Day of Silence”.

On 25 April this year, the “Day of Silence”, supported by the activist homosexual group Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), will set out to brainwash (yes, I said “brainwash”) children across the United States of America that “… every person who identifies as a homosexual, bisexual or cross-dresser is a victim of ongoing, unrelenting harassment and hate.”

What did I tell you about them playing the under-dogs?

Furthermore, students will be taught that “… homosexuality is a worthy lifestyle, homosexuality has few or no risks, and individuals are born homosexual and cannot change. Those who oppose such teaching are characterized as ignorant and hateful bigots.”

Uh huh, right… homosexuality is a worthy lifestyle and has few or no risks. Who are they trying to kid?! Even if you subscribe to the God-less notion that mankind evolved from some primordial soup, homosexuality has no value because sexual relations between those of the same gender do not propagate the species since such unions produce no offspring!

One thing is for certain though, that if such lessons and programs are pushed throughout the United States, we will be seeing a majority of youths in the next decade or so who will not hesitate to call out those who speak against homosexuality as bigots and even prosecute them.

In fact, in CA, teachers are already not allowed to speak out against homosexuality, and I am quite sure that they will extend the clampdown to pulpits very soon, even making it a hate crime!

I Slap You!

Moving south of the Equator, we see this report from Australia about an increase in violent acts by teenage girls which include clashes with the police, and even (get this) slapping peers on their arms, backs or legs for wearing the wrong jeans or not putting out (having sex) with the boys!

Called “Slapfest Days”, these are not isolated cases, and have been observed at elite girls schools in Melbourne.

I wonder what makes these girls elite…

Writer Applauds Adultery Committed By Women As Sign of Progress

Closer to home (Singapore), this article written by a male member of a local Women’s Rights group seems to suggest that women have come a long way because they now are even able to pursue illicit and adulterous relationships with married men!

Huh?! What? I’m sorry, but you don’t measure the progress of the Women’s Lib by measuring how many men, married or single, women can get into their beds nowadays!

Sure, women were concubines and wives without a voice in days of yore, but that doesn’t mean that the modern woman should seek to go to the other extreme, even to the extent of displaying their new-found independence and rights by engaging in illicit and adulterous relationships with married men.

By so doing, they not only destroy themselves morally and perhaps even physically, but also the family unit, one of the core pillars of society.

What is this man thinking?!

Thirst For Righteousness

Even if you don’t see the other signs indicating that we are indeed living in the Last Days, these should awaken you to that fact.

What saddens me is that on a corporate level, the Visible Church is helpless and clueless in dealing with this onslaught on morality — many having succumbed to worldliness, preaching not denial of self and hating sin but self-gratification (Word of Faith movement). Then there are many that have succumbed to movements such as humanism and the New Age mysticism (Rick Warren’s “Christian yoga” is a fine example).

For those of us who care, its time to pray and to pray fervently! Hold fast to the Word and set your eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ. Most of all, continue to thirst for righteousness as we look forward to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ!

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
