This is a really interesting meme to do, and I have to thank Rachel much for it.
It is interesting because it got me thinking about a lot of issues in my life that I know the Lord will definitely want to sit me down and talk to me about. But perhaps the biggest thing that popped into my mind was this: will I even recognize the Lord if He came up to me today?
Perhaps not.
Anyhow, I was seriously mulling over what Jesus would say to me when I decided to read up on the inspiration behind the meme at Lord, I Believe, and I think these are probably the few things He will want me to know:
- To stop relying on my own strength to get through the storms. I said I’d surrender my life to the Lord that He might work the best for me in His Will, but I have yet to completely do that.
- To Sin NO MORE. Lord, I know in my heart what aspects they are for I so easily fall into the same temptations so often.
- To learn to really pray more often, and not let prayer to just be cries for help or when I need something, but to be a constant conversation with the Lord.
- To stop giving the excuse of how little I have and are therefore unable to help sometimes when I see the poor and destitute. It will be better that I give all that money away to that needy man or woman than to sin again.
- To listen to and obey instructions from the Holy Spirit rather than resisting.
I now get to tag 4 people for this meme, and I’d love to pass it on to:
- Casey at Casey’s Critical Thinking
- Shalene at Proverbs31WomanWannabe
- Carol at The Bible Thumper’s Soapbox
- Michael Moore at Living Water for Those Who Thirst

Thank you Sicarii for tagging me. I had to look up what a meme was (sad I know) but I’m learning every day. I responded on my blog so please check it out.
I have to applaud your honesty and bravery for what you said. The fact that you can SEE these things is half the battle - your eyes are OPEN, you see these problem areas and are not deceived. The Lord has revealed these things to you so remember to thank Him. (I’m sure you already have - I just like to type) haha

Dear Carol:
Trust me, when I first started blogging I didn’t know what a meme was either.

I like to think that these are the aspects that I can see, but I am sure that there are others where the Lord sees that I don’t because of my own pride and, for want of a better word (or excuse), my humanity. As you said so correctly, seeing them is only half the battle won, I need to take action in order to win the battle. To do that, I will need lots of strength to do so, and I pray the Lord to grant me that.
God bless!

Thanks so much for the post. I have added a link to here from the original meme post at http://lordibelievehelpmyunbelief.blogspot.com/2007/11/wwjs-to-me.html. And all of your points could easily have been mine, too.

Dear Jim:
You are most welcome! Thank you for visiting my blog and letting me know. And thank you also for starting this meme — it really made me examine my walk with God and I totally enjoyed the bittersweet experience of identifying where I really need to pull my socks up and remove the log from my eyes!
God bless, and Shalom Aleichem.

Oh yippee, another meme!! Seriously, yippee! And this one is a meme that may actually get my Christian lifestyle juices going again. I’ve been a little bit of a funk lately. Maybe God just wants me to take stock of some things, you think? I’ll let you know as soon as I have my meme post up. Blessings and Shalom, brother!

Dear Shalene:
I hope it does and I’m happy that it will help! Don’t worry too much about the downtime — we all go through a few of those in cycles. In fact, I thought I’d go into a downturn during my reserves but God provided me with an avalanche of opportunities to share and learn.
Though I do agree that the downturn is sometimes really good for taking stock of things and come back stronger! I shall pray for your downtime to be short and sweet, so I can read your entry for this meme.

Hi Sicarii. Welcome back to the world of blogging! I love your honesty and straightforwardness. Not a great word I know… but let’s run with it! I’d count it a privilege to be added to your blogroll and would like to add you to mine if that’s ok.
Lincoln, incase you read this, you made me laugh so hard!!!!! Thanks for the compliment. There are lots of pretty Aussie christian girls who are single…. maybe you should visit Aus some time!

Dear Rachel:
Thank you for the welcome! I am really glad to be back — I am a city boy at heart, and the jungles don’t sit well with me.
Thank you also for the kind words! I should be the one counting it privileged to add you to my blogroll.

God bless, and Shalom!
