A Most Powerful Testimony

Glorious Sunrise!I love reading testimonies from other Christians.

Because nothing is more real and inspirational than reading about how God has worked miracles in someone’s life, turned it around, made it better or how they themselves overcame trials and tribulations in their lives.

Some think that their testimonies are nothing to shout about, but my belief is that no matter how mundane you think it is, your testimony shows just how God can work in anyone’s life.

Some think it quite an embarrassment to share theirs because their past is so full of sin, and that people and other Christians will look at them differently or think lesser of them after reading their testimonies.

In my opinion, it’s wrong to think that because nobody is without sin, nor is anyone perfect, but your testimony is a loud proclamation of God’s victory over sin and death and you should be proud to share it, and let it be as an inspiration to countless others!

One such powerful testimony is that of Michael’s, whose blog — “Living Water for Those Who Thirst” — has now become one of my favorite Christian blogs since I ‘chanced’ upon it by God’s grace.

If you haven’t read it before, take the time to. It’s very long (took me an hour or more over 2 days due to my schedule), but worth every single second of it.

And I hope that his testimony inspires you as much as it did me.

Michael: thank you very much for sharing your testimony and being such an inspiration. I must tell you that I had to hold back tears in the office when you wrote of your dad looking at the pastor and saying “I want to go to heaven to be with her”.

The Lord bless and guide you, brother. Like you, I claim the verses in Proverbs 3.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Shalom Aleichem.

Wow! What an awesome write-up! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my testimony. We serve an amazing God!

I also commend you for posting this message encouraging others to share what God has done in their lives. I agree with you 100% in what you said,

“Because nothing is more real and inspirational than reading about how God has worked miracles in someone’s life, turned it around, made it better or how they themselves overcame trials and tribulations in their lives.”

I am so very grateful for the work God is doing in me. I am also grateful for the wonderful people that I have come to know, you included my friend.

I become even more inspired each and every time I visit your site and you can believe that this will become one of my regular reads!

    Phillipians 1:6
” And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”

    Hi Isaiah,
I don’t think you were reading my blog yet, back when I posted my testimony. If you would like to read it, here is the link: http://msp31wannabe.blogspot.com/2007/07/best-blessing-by-shalene-kearney.html I don’t know that it will be as moving as Michael’s, but I did want to share it with as many people as I could, because a person’s testimony no matter how “exciting” is glorifying to the Lord. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Michael’s. I’ll have to go there and read it now. Blessings and Shalom, my brother.

    Dear Michael:

The pleasure’s all mine in reading and recommending others to your testimony.

I believe that your testimony might even be a light to those who are facing similar or even worse problems to come to know that they can turn to a Savior who truly cares about them.

Your testimony is a true testament of the miracles that are happening everyday when God comes into someone’s life, and I am really happy you took the time to write such a detailed testimony and share it with us.

God bless you, brother. May you continue in your strong walk with God in faith and complete trust in Him!

    Shalom Aleichem.

    Dear Shalene:

Oops, I don’t think I actually dug that deep, but thank you so much for pointing me to it.

I have just read it and I now totally have a better understanding to your motivation to being a Proverbs31 Woman and how dear Bobby and your children are to you!

In particular I was moved by how, right after you cried out for help, that you were able to start working on salvaging your relationship.

You know, often times God doesn’t just want to solve our problems with a snap of His fingers.

But He inserts little and big trials into our lives so that we learn how to solve them with His help, in complete trust and faith.

    God bless you and Bobby.

    Shalom Aleichem!

    Dear Michael:

You are most welcome, my dear brother.

If you are interested, my testimony was written quite some time ago after I started this blog, and you can read it here:

I think I should put it up as a permanent link in place of the “about” link.

    God bless you, brother.

    Shabbat Shalom!
