I finally managed to get a glimpse of the name of the church that supposedly had the Saturday service on the Law of Moses this evening, and it turned out that…
It isn’t a church, but just a fellowship group.
Nooooooooo…
So it looks like I’m still liable to get off my fat ass and continue looking for one.
You know, it was so difficult trying to catch the words on that banner.
Firstly, you had to be standing at the right place and looking out really hard for it in a speeding train.
Secondly, and also the more irritating factor, is that nowadays the train windows are usually plastered with some stupid advertising banner that stretches across it, bisecting the large window pane seemingly into two.
Now, for anyone who is standing on the train and about my height (I am about 5″6′), that makes it really hard to see anything outside. To catch the banner, I had to stoop a little, which I think probably had the woman who’s in the seat facing me think I am trying to get a better look at her legs or something.
I absolutely, totally and irrevocably dislike these advertisements.
Will someone at the SMRT (the company that owns the trains here in Singapore) look into removing them for good?
Yes, I’ll probably pay your next rate hike with a little more joy if you would just do that, thank you.

Hi Isaiah, You know there is a relatively new (old) concept here in the US that seems to be catching hold (again) and that is House churches. They are basically a fellowship group, too. Many times, they are led by a professional clergy person as well. You might not want to discount it, just because they call themselves a “fellowship group.” Just my thoughts on the subject. You know, the early believers met this way. That is why it’s not a new concept really.

Hm… you might have a point there, Shalene.
I’m still trying to catch the name of the fellowship group to ask them more questions before attending the session. It’s a rather long name and tomorrow (Friday) will be the last day before Saturday when I can catch it.
I hope I do!

Like what Shalene described, I am actually quite ok with fellowship group but I expect the group leader to be well versed with the religion, even though he’s not a pastor. That’s why I never believe in churches with young cell group leaders, it’s becoming more of a groupie thingy. Luckily mine is a retired colonel and he’s better when he’s able to guide me and draw reference to real life instead of memorising them. It was actually over last week when he went through some parts and actually led me to the point that Iraq was somehow involved in Christianity in ancient time.

That’s why I intend to try to find out as much as possible about the fellowship group before I actually step into it.
I do hope the train tomorrow morning does not have those irriating advertisements and I can finally find out more!

Thank you, and I just found out more about them, so it looks like I’ve actually found what I was looking for!

You’re evil, lol!
Thing is, it wasn’t an auntie, but a rather well-coiffed and I’d say, rather pretty, lady. She was in a twill skirt or something that looked like twill.
You’re right about the cabs and buses too. It’s terribly disgusting that they plastered bus windows too — I have seen old people trying really hard just to get a glimpse of where exactly they are.
