Phase 1: Indignation
I just read this piece of news saying that as part of the ‘peace’ deal between Israel and the Palestinian people, Ehud Olmert’s government has turned over control of the Temple Mount to the enemy.
According to top Palestinian sources, the proposal is for Jerusalem’s Old City holy sites near the Mount to be governed by a Jewish, Christian and Muslim task force; and the Western Wall plaza below the Mount to be controlled by Israel.
In addition, Israel will evacuate from most of the West Bank and cede the eastern sections of Jerusalem.
The Temple Mount is Israel’s holiest site, for crying out loud, and people who have no claim whatsoever to land either historically, religiously or otherwise are demanding that the Jews give up their holiest site within their own state to foreign control?!
That made my blood boil with indignation.
I don’t seem to read anything that the Palestinians are offering in return. Wait a minute here, did I just hear you say that they are offering peace in return?
Oh, please, don’t be naive.
What they are really getting is a foothold within Israel to launch more attacks against the state of Israel and the Jewish people. Like, have you ever read about the wooden horse and the destruction of Troy?
Phase 2: Acceptance
I have simmered down somewhat and have a cooler head now.
And I think I ought to just accept that this will come to pass because it’s part of God’s plan for Israel and the events that must take place before our Lord returns in His glory and majesty.
Not to mention the fact that there should no blame be assigned on the Israelis who want to see this peace deal go through. Which people do not desire peace?
Time, then, to remind myself of Psalm 122.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
“May they be secure who love you!
Peace be within your walls
and security within your towers!â€
For my brothers and companions’ sake
I will say, “Peace be within you!â€
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your good.Psalm 122:6-9
Much as I want God’s will to be the rudder of my life, I must not forget that we all pray that God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is His will unraveling before us, in our lifetime, and I shall sing my elation!
For I feel blessed to be living in this day and age where we shall see all that was prophesied come to be.
Shalom, Shalom, Jerusalem, Shalom!
Phase 3: Elation
Yes, it is God’s will, and He is coming soon! And when our Lord Jesus Christ returns in His glory and majesty, so shall we who endured, kept His commandments and grew in our faith be with Him.
And on that day shall there be a new Jerusalem, and a new earth, and we shall dwell with our Lord forever.
Hallelujah!
“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.â€
Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.
Revelation 22:12-14
He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.†Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
Revelation 22:20
Amen!

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” John 10:27-29
The God of these verses is able to hold onto what is His, and to what belongs to Israel. Nothing ever really changes hands… For it is, was, and always will be God who holds all. Be comforted. The God who made the promise has never, and will never let go.

hiya Mic:
That’s a great point! Indeed nothing is impossible for our God and whatever is happening is according to His will and plan. God fulfills His promises and will never forsake.
Amen!

I couldn’t agree more. My blog also boils… and my blood pressure rises. And I feel so strongly as well. What an indignation that Israel’s holiest site is inaccessible and covered. The double standard and thinly veiled anti-Semitism prompting support of murderers in Israel’s land is abhorrent. Israel is criticized for rightly defending it’s borders. The media slant is also horrific. Thanks for sharing…keep it up.

hi there Miss Ladybug, thank you for visiting!

I agree with you — the world is blind to, or does not want to see the unfair treatment that Israel is receiving. Even media reports are skewed against Israel, and it is no wonder that we find so many now turned against whatever Israel does.A country that’s defending her right to survive is often chastised and condemned, while terrorists go scot-free and are seemingly never in the wrong because they are struggling against an ‘oppressor’.
It’s great to find another person who loves Israel!
God bless, and Shabbat Shalom.
